I Hate this Country

Adam Levine said it best, "I hate this country!"

I don't give a crap that I never really got a chance to watch this season of The Voice because it was on the same time other stuff was that got my attention more.

I tried to catch up with the show as much as I could but other things got in the way. (I thought I should be watching The Bachelorette like I normally always do. But Desiree started to bore me to tears and by the time I thought finally saw the light, I was too late to The Voice party. Shame shame Haley)

Anyways...

I watched the finally episode on Monday night and was blown away by Michelle Chamuel.

I honestly never really would have expected that voice to come from her. She has such power behind her voice and energy that could blow the roof off the place.

The first song that she sang last night was my favorite Taylor Swift song EVER (like ever) was "I Knew You Were Trouble."

From that moment on, I was sold. She could sing the rock version of the "Alphabet Song" and I would think it was worthy enough of being on iTunes.

I honestly didn't think the other two teams had a chance. They both really didn't have much stage presence which is pretty disappointing considering they both were on Team Blake. I love Blake Shelton don't get me wrong but The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery never caught my attention and were just flat out boring. Both of Blake's people had lackluster song choices at best that made me go to snooze fest USA. Yes, Danielle is 16 and can sing but I didn't see a winning performance from "Born to Fly" from Sara Evans. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Congrats Danielle on winning The Voice at 16 years old. That is fantastic.

But......

Michelle deserved to win! Plain and simple.

Bachzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A poem for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette...

Rose

How I used to look forward to you every Monday.
How my family despised my love affair with you.

Will accept this rose?

Your drama and battle for tears used to fill me with joy.

Now you fill me with rage and anger.

I am bored.

This is your final rose.

She's a dancer

Justin Timberlake said it best.

Or in Zendaya's case its "she's a dancer"

Zendaya is on a DANCING SHOW. She was required to dance for her audition. She dances everyday on set. It's HER JOB!!!!!!!!

Any 10 that she wins on the show is rigged.

All her dances tonight were not entertaining, at all. Her samba was a regular samba that I would have seen in week 5. Her cha cha relay was blah. Her freestyle was just plain boring. To make it worse she danced to Bieber, (boooooooooooooooooooooooo) like who does that.

The real winner of Dancing with the Stars season 15 is Kellie Pickler.

She has improved week after week and really challenged herself in every dance style.

Her raw freestyle left everything on the table and was flat out flawless.

Watch and see if you don't believe me.

The View

Someone needs to give me an intervention.

I have an unhealthy relationship with The View.

It's bad. Really bad.

I can't stop watching.

I want to stop but I can't.

Between the dumb things that Barbara Walters says and the HORRIBLE wigs on Sherri Shepard, I can't stop watching.

Does anyone else have this problem? I don't understand why this is happening.

This season has been a big one in my book with the announcement of Joy Behar leaving the show and Barbara Walters finally retiring.

I find the guest co-hosts that they have on  (cough auditioning) boring. I want someone who will bring the jokes like Joy Behar did. Brooke Shields is probably in talks with producers and  one of the main candidates. I don't see her on the show AT ALL. Brooke is on a guest role on one of my favorite shows Army Wives and she is boring on that show and she is playing a character. I don't see her bringing a new dynamic to "Hot Topics."

So who has my vote for Joy Behar's seat.... Ali Wentworth. She is funny and has a lot to bring to the round table. Her husband is fantastic on GMA. It only makes common sense for her to be on The View. Jenny McCarthy is too risque to be on a morning talk show.

With all that being said, who should be on the show? No word has officially been said on if Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving so it's really only 2 seats that need to be filled.

Who should get them?

Keep in mind, I am always available if they need me.

A night at the ball

Last night was the glorious Met Ball.

I am always infatuated with this New York event every year without fail.

It's disturbing to me how much I love seeing all the celebrities walk up the grand stair case with press lined on either side. I don't even care what happens inside. I only care about my glorious carpet and the people who walk on it.

This year's Met Ball theme was punk.

When I think of punk, I think of high school and that is something that I NEVER want to think about again! (Trust me)

Sidenote: Add another picture as a reason we want Jennifer Lawrence as our best friend.
You're welcome.

Here are the fashion highlights of the night... All photos from people.com

Smart Reality TV

Smart reality TV. Say what?

No. It really is true.

Some of my favorite reality shows are the ones that make me learn things. I know you are probably thinking that there is no way it can be true but it can. Trust me!

I am just as big of a fan as you are of Bachelor but every time I hear Chris Harrison say "The final rose of the night," I want to throw something at my TV and say "No dip Sherlock. I wasn't born yesterday!" Like he gets paid how much money to point out the obvious. That's comforting. Way to go America!

We have teenagers getting pregnant and broadcasting it all over national television, Kartrashians making a fool of themselves and laughing all the way to the bank and (I hate to say...TEAR TEAR) my beloved housewives who are always looking out for a fight. Meanwhile we have shows that can actually expand your business knowledge in an hour, INSTANTLY!Take that Chris Harrison!

Shows like Shark Tank, Fashion Star, Tabatha Takes Over, and Celebrity Apprentice take reality television to a whole new level.

  • Shark Tank- Fridays 9pm on ABC- I have been watching this show before it became popular. Not only do you get to see fascinating new products that make you go "why didn't I think of that" but you get to see the "sharks" battle it out for glory recognition. Every time I watch I learn about business, equity, manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and so much more. I have taken several business classes throughout college and I get to yell at my TV, telling them why they are making a horrible decision with their manufacturing or how in the world can you go on the show with no product sales? This show has exploded. ABC announced they have already renewed for the full season which is around 16 episodes for next year. New episodes are exploding with the ratings. Heck, even the reruns are off the charts. Mark Cuban makes sure all his twitter followers know that every week.
  • Fashion Star- Fridays 8pm on NBC- This show takes Project Runway to a whole new level. (A better level, if I might add). If you have ever wondered how a designer gets into a retail store this is the show you need to watch to see how. The designers make clothes that are supposed to appeal to the buyers of stores but also to store demographics while keeping their designer point of view. The stores are Express, Macy's, and Saks Fifth Ave. Then when you think it can't get better, you can actually purchase the clothes right after it's on TV  BRILLIANT! Brilliant concept and a danger to women's pocket books everywhere.
  • Tabatha Takes Over- Thursdays 10pm on Bravo- Tabatha's show is one of my favorite shows on TV right now. I love it more than words can describe. Tabatha is a hair salon owner who has gotten recognized for her business and incredible common sense and is putting it to use helping struggling business owners turn their business around. The woman has no filter. She will tell you how it is no matter if you want to hear it and with an Australian accent.
  • Celebrity Apprentice- Sundays 9pm on NBC- Celebrities competing for charity and doing business like challenges every week from advertising, marketing, fundraising, sales, and more all because of the man with the hair. Sign me up. Say what you want about Donald Trump and his hair but the man has money. He obviously did something right. The show is in it's 13th season and is still kicking it as far as I am concerned.
See...You can still have your reality TV and not melt your brain!
